Port Credit, known as the “Musical Hub of Mississauga” is the proud location of the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame.

Established in 2012 by the late Councillor Jim Tovey, the Walk recognizes and honours Inductees for their contributions as musicians, builders, and creators who have contributed to our City’s vibrant music industry legacy fostering pride and inspiring future generations to pursue their musical dreams. The Mississauga Music Walk of Fame will serve as a lasting tribute to the diverse range of artists and musicians who have called Mississauga home.

Join us as we welcome internationally acclaimed Emmy Award-winning musician and composer, Don Breithaupt, along with founder and President of The Guitar Workshop Plus, Brian Murray. They will be Inducted into the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame as part of this year’s Tim Horton’s Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festival.

Mississauga Music Walk of Fame 2026 Inductees

We would like to congratulate internationally acclaimed Emmy Award-winning musician and composer Don Breithaupt, along with founder and President of The Guitar Workshop Plus, Brian Murray. They will be Inducted into the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame as part of this year’s Tim Horton’s Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festival. The 2026 Induction Ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 13th, at 10:45 am at Memorial Park’s Gazebo Stage in Port Credit, Ontario. EVERYONE IS WELCOME.

Don Breithaupt, Musician and Composer

Don Breithaupt

Emmy Award winner Don Breithaupt is a composer, songwriter and Juno-nominated creator of Monkey House. His credits include songs for Chicago and The Manhattan Transfer, plus award-winning music for the animated series 6teen. A Berklee College of Music scholarship recipient, he also holds a master’s degree from York University.

Brian Murray, Industry Builder and Musician

Brian Murray

Brian Murray is a guitarist, educator and founder of Guitar Workshop Plus, an internationally respected music education programme. A Humber College Jazz Performance graduate, he has performed, recorded and taught across North America. Under his leadership, Guitar Workshop Plus attracts students worldwide and offers instruction in multiple instruments and genres.
